Molineux

Friday night at Molineux was proper Championship football. Wolves and Blackburn ended up drawing 2-2, and it was a cracking game from start to finish. Wolves started brilliantly and took the lead early on when Fer Lopez played a lovely ball through to Marshall Munetsi, who kept his cool and smashed it in. But Blackburn did not just roll over. Ten minutes later, Ryoya Morishita crossed it in and Sean McLoughlin got his head on it to make it 1-1 before half time.

Right after the break, Blackburn caught Wolves napping. Oladapo Afolayan got down the wing and picked out Andri Gudjohnsen, who scored to put Rovers 2-1 up. From then on, it was a proper scrap. There were a fair few yellow cards handed out because the ref kept blowing up for soft fouls, which really stopped the flow of the game. Blackburn defended like absolute heroes for the rest of the half, blocking everything Wolves threw at them and looking like they were going to snatch a massive away win.

Injury time penalty

But then we get to the absolute joke of a decision in injury time. Jackson Tchatchoua crossed the ball and it hit Ryan Alebiosu on the arm. The referee pointed straight to the penalty spot, which was completely ridiculous. His arm was in a natural position because he was just trying to keep his balance while turning to block the ball. It is not like he could chop his arm off. Raul Jimenez stepped up and scored the penalty to make it 2-2, robbing Blackburn of a win they properly deserved.

48′ — Goal (1-2)	Straight out of the blocks after half time, Oladapo Afolayan drives down the wing and puts it on a plate for Andri Gudjohnsen to tap in. Blackburn take a deserved lead.
The Grind	Blackburn spend the next 40 minutes defending for their lives. McLoughlin blocks everything in sight, Sam Morsy breaks up play in midfield, and they look solid as a rock.
93′ — Penalty (2-2)	Absolute robbery. Jackson Tchatchoua smashes a cross into Ryan Alebiosu from close range. It hits his arm, but his arm is in a totally natural spot while turning. The ref points to the spot anyway, completely gifting Wolves a way back. Raul Jiménez steps up and buries it.
