I think Thierry Henry is one of the most underrated strikers you can have at this point in FC 26. He’s gotten me a promotion in Division Rivals versus squads packed with the likes of 99 Zidane and 99 Maradona. At 17k, I could sell a bottle of Scotch Mist for more than his asking price.
He’s one of the best strikers and value for that sum of money. Not only because you’re getting 95 Pace with Rapid+, 92 Shooting, 95 Finishing and the Finesse Shot+. Now, yes, there are better Henry cards out there, like his Great of the Game 97 and his 99 FUTTIES. I hope you aren’t wasting millions of coins when you can buy this underrated card for a fraction of the cost.
Let’s do some maths here. His FUTTIES card is rounded to about 3.5 million coins. You can buy this Winter Wildcard for 17,000 coins. That means you are paying over 205 times more for the FUTTIES version. Spending an extra 3.48 million coins just for a handful of extra stat points is absolute madness when the value on this card’s exceptional.
Anyway, I’ve already mentioned he’s underrated. Now I’ll dig into his stats and tell you exactly why he’s underrated.

Division Rivals
Pace: 95
95 Pace on paper’s already elite, but paired with Rapid+, it becomes an absolute joke for opposing defenders. Because of Henry’s unique body type and long stride, once he gets a half step ahead of a centre back, the race is already over. Even top tier 99 rated defenders cannot catch him once he hits top gear. You don’t even need to hold sprint right away. Just burst into the open space, trigger the acceleration, and watch your opponent’s backline turn into spectators.
Shooting: 92 (95 Finishing)
This is the stat that actually carries you through sweaty Division Rivals matches. 92 Shooting looks solid on the card, but it’s that 95 Finishing that does the heavy lifting. Inside the box, he’s ruthless. Left foot, right foot, off balance if you create half a yard of space, it’s going into the net. Then you add Finesse Shot+ into the mix. Cut inside onto his favoured right foot anywhere near the edge of the 18 yard box, whip it towards the far top corner, and you can literally start walking back to the halfway line before it even hits the net. That’s exactly why spending millions on other strikers is a waste when a 17k card bends green timed finesse shots past a flapping goalkeeper.
Passing: 85
Nobody’s buying Thierry Henry to play him as a deep lying midfielder, but 85 Passing’s acceptable for a central striker. His short passing’s crisp, allowing him to hold up the ball, link play with your wingers, and execute sharp 1-2 passing combinations without giving away sloppy possession. His long passing and crossing aren’t going to set the world on fire, but if you’re trying to spray 60 yard cross field balls with your main goalscorer, you’re playing the game wrong anyway. He’s a striker who delivers; his lay offs, quick through balls, and simple box link ups are spot on.
Dribbling: 91
Because Thierry Henry stands tall in game, players often assume he’ll feel heavy or clunky on the ball. Let me clear that myth up right now: he feels incredibly smooth. 91 Dribbling combined with his close control means he turns far better than his height suggests. He might not possess the micro dribbling of a 5’5″ winger with maxed out agility, but his skill touches and sharp directional changes catch defenders completely off guard. When you knock the ball past a defender, he keeps it glued close enough to maintain total control while accelerating away.
Physical: 80
Don’t let an 80 rating fool you his physical presence in game is far better than the raw number suggests. His frame and height give him enough strength to hold off aggressive centre backs when turning or shielding the ball under pressure. His stamina holds up easily across 90 gruelling minutes of high tempo Rivals matches, meaning he is just as dangerous in the 85th minute as he is in the 5th. He won’t win every single aerial duel against max strength CBs, but he rarely gets muscled off the ball easily.
Final Verdict
Is Winter Wildcard Thierry Henry going to perform identically to his 3.5 million coin FUTTIES version? No, and anyone telling you otherwise is lying to you. But are you going to find a better, more lethal, game changing striker in FC 26 for 17k? Absolutely not.
He gives you raw pace that terrifies high defensive lines, a finesse shot that guarantees goals when matches get tight, and the physical presence to bully top tier defenders. For a budget squad or anyone looking to free up millions of coins to upgrade their midfield or defense, this card isn’t just a good option it’s the only logical choice.
