Kiss
Gene Simmons is the bass player and co-lead singer of Kiss, which he co-founded with Paul Stanley in 1973. His stage persona is the “The Demon.” Simmons is recognised for a loud stage presence, flamboyant style, fire-breathing performances, and long tongue. He remained a constant member of Kiss until the band ceased playing in 2023.
He spent his childhood in Queens, New York, adopting the name Gene Klein before changing it professionally to Gene Simmons. A graduate with a degree in education, he briefly worked as a teacher before fully committing to music.
