Bryan Lewis Saunders drew himself under the influence of 50 drugs and intoxicants then painted or drew himself. To name a few, he has drawn himself on LSD, cocaine, crystal meth, and alcohol.
Disclaimer
DON’T DO DRUGS as they’re illegal in most countries, but it’s your body and life to do what you want to. Just be responsible and don’t drive or look after kids while under the influence. I’m not sure these paintings were entirely harmless either, as by his self admission, he has caused himself irreversible damage.

The artwork of Bryan Lewis Saunders is extraordinary, insightful and scary. He pushed boundaries and caused himself damage on his long voyage of exploration and self discovery.
I add a link to “Under the influence” on his website and I’ve taken a liberty adding a sample selection of some of his artwork, not mine. The intoxicant he took is mentioned below each piece.
I acknowledge I’ve nicked his drawings but do so respectfully as I find them genuinely interesting because I have a love of sketching and want to share. Browsing his website is highly recommended so you can see all the published images and his other work for yourself.

Meth

Bath salts

2mg nicotine gum

Cocaine

DMT (Dimethyltryptamine)
I couldn’t find anymore paintings of him but you’re able to search Google and find more of his paintings.
He also said that he now has brain damage. So to me this is one of the most unique series of paintings in the whole of art he used his brain as an experiment and documented it in the best way possible. Although the art itself isn’t the greatest example in an art gallery sense, in my opinion, the background and context makes it one of the greatest painting series.
Rating
Perceptions bent, and reality twisted. A solid 10/10 .
